Breakfast was excellent. Once acclimated the location proved excellent.. A comfortable drive to Kylemore Abbey and Ashford Castle. A nice and affordable golf course nearby and and a beautiful lake for boating and fishing just down the street. Also a boxing club and football club in town. The town of Oughterard had a few nice Pub's and a grocery that was well stocked. Our host Christian was great and his new puppy Emily couldn't be more adorable

    Dermot was an excellent host and made us feel welcome from the beginning. Lovely house in a beautiful location. Very quiet at night and a comfortable sleep assured. Highly enjoyable stay.

    Helpful staff (even including help to fix my bike!), plenty of space and quiet at night even though on a fairly busy road.Tea and coffee making ingredients on hand.

    Great location to explore Connemara, hosts are extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. They had great tips about the surrounding area, including restaurants. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need for a short or even for a longer stay. It is clearly maintained to high standards and with attention to detail. The furniture may seem a bit retro, but comfortable and appropriate for the setting. All in all, we would highly recommend staying at Melotte's Self Catering.

    The location was in a quiet area of Cornamona but a close drive to Clonbur and Cong. Breakfast was lovely and the host was very friendly and engaging. Great little place to stop off on my trip around Connemara and Mayo.
