The owners were wonderful and could not have been nicer, the continental breakfast was top class. There's a pub only 4 minutes walk up the road that has great food. It's a very beautiful peaceful area , I slept like a log.

A Georgian town house conveniently located between Main Street and the railway station, Ivyleigh House in Portlaoise offers elegant bed and breakfast accommodation. There is free parking and Wi-Fi and a full Irish breakfast is served. When first checking in I was presented with the breakfast menu for the following days. It had a variety of options but as I was mostly using public transport I stuck eating cereal. It is also perfectly situated halfway between the train station and the main street, with a multi-story car park and cinema across the street.
