Balbriggan is an ongoing developing town that will progress to becoming a place to visit for art, music, and culture. There are a few quirky cafes on or close to the main street. This is a town awaiting development. We ate in the Lala restaurant, an exceptional meal with delicious food. It provided a simplistic choice of 5 starters, and 5 mains to suit all palates. Both the braised lamb and the Seabass were complimented perfectly with tasty sauces allowing the discerning wine drinker to choose either red or white wine. The wine list was short and provided an excellent choice to match the food available. Although the overall experience was excellent, there may be scope to add a cheese board for those diners who do not eat dessert or prefer a savory finish to their meal.

Great hotel, large rooms, nice bar and food. Excellant breakfast. We had a overnight stay travelling up to Derry for the Vespa Days event. and were able to park our scooters undercover and securely.

    Balbriggan was our last stop.

Balbriggan was our last stop. This was our fourth trip to Ireland. The town seemed depressed and run down. There were boarded up shops and most of the town needed fresh paint. People weren't as friendly and seemed distrusting. There was "community watch" in tact and the community was extremely diverse. Ireland is always grand no matter what, but I would not slot this town on my itinerary again.

Balbriggan is a lovely town outside Dublin . The beautiful sea surrounds it and I love hearing the sea gulls. Lots of amenities and shops there and it was nice and quiet at night time, to sleep in . Not too far from Dublin City Centre .

It's a quiet little town on the beach with only little of interest but the outdoors. So depending on what you like you choose the period of time you want to stay here. In all honesty, I was there to visit a friend and we did a lot of outdoors stuff so I could have stayed a lot longer. If you are only there for culture you can do with 2 days................ It also has good transport in the Dart, train and bus.

Balbriggan was ideal, its location to Laytown races was great (9 euros return on the train). We had a curry on the same road as the train station it was superb. Plenty of bookies and pubs for the gamblers amongst us.

The Bedford House and staff were wonderful. The room was the best we stayed in Ireland and everything was clear and comfortable. The breakfasts appeared to be excellent (as I was told by my family), but I came to Bedford House not well and was not able to enjoy the food. That was certainly not their fault. They bent over backwards offering help to bring any food I could eat to my room and they helped my family find the pharmacy and also some other places they could eat at night. I would definitely go back there if I am ever in the area again.

The location was perfect, close to the railway station and it was a short walk to the main street in Balbriggan, and a short walk to the beach. The room we stayed in was comfortable, as was the bed. We enjoyed relaxing in the room at the end of each day. The breakfast in The LaLa was lovely and the girl that served us each morning was very pleasant, welcoming and helpful. There was a coffee machine in the room with pods and they replenished the tea and coffee each day. If it run out you could ask for more. All the staff we met were friendly.

Exceptional Establishment in every which way. Room and entire Premises was warm friendly and cosey. Breakfast was included in the price and was cooked to perfection. The presentation of the Breakfast was also first class. The attention to detail in respect of the hotel fit out is truely amazing. Ive lived in Ireland for just over one year and have stayed at many hotels, this one is the best of the bunch by a country mile. A big thank you to all Staff whom just could not be more helpful.

Room was very nice. Perfect location to stay flying in and out of Dublin airport. We liked it so much coming into Ireland that we stayed there again the night before leaving Ireland from Dublin airport. The restaurant/bar was superb. Should have eaten there our first night, but we didn’t know it was so awesome!

The hotel is easily walkable to the train station. The hotel is good value for money. The hotel felt safe and comfortable. The town around it is kind of uninteresting, but not bad. I'd consider staying here if I was in the area again but wouldn't necessarily seek it out.
