Ballycotton is a lovely little village.

Ballycotton is a lovely little village. The people are friendly and its fun visiting the different little pubs on the Main Street. The food at the Sea church restaurant was superb. The schooner tavern was the ideal accomodation for us with comfortable rooms with ensuite. The staff were lovely and the food was very nice particularly the full breakfast

It’s a remotely located, small seaside village with very few amenities so if you are looking for entertainment and nightlife, it’s probably not the place for you. But if you like coastal walks, tranquility, nature, peace and quiet- you will love Ballycotton!

The bed was huge and extra comfortable!

The bed was huge and extra comfortable! The room had a view on the ocean and this was simply amazing! Pity the restaurant in the hotel is closed during the week.. this could be said more explicitly while booking. But there are nice places to go to eat nearby, like Pier 26! The food was simply amazing!

Great village, stunning location, awesome bars.

Great village, stunning location, awesome bars. If you love running as I do then take your running gear and go on a stunning run - I did and I wish all my runs were as beautiful as the one I had last weekend.

The focus of the village is on the harbour.

The focus of the village is on the harbour. Cliff top walks and a good base from which to explore nearby villages and beaches. Cork is not so far away - only 30 minutes to Cobh well worth a day visiting heritage sites, exhibitions and museums.

Anna and Paddy were really helpful hosts and we loved staying at their B&B. The room was lovely and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was gorgeous and very fresh! The B&B is very close to Ballymaloe House and there are a number of local taxis that we could use to get back from the wedding we attended. It is also very easy to get to Ballycotton and Midleton from this house. I would highly recommend that anyone looking to stay in this area stay in Sunville!

It was a very clean, well kept room. Its location above a pub on the main street in Ballycotton just added to the experience as we enjoyed hearing the music & night life through the dormer window. The complimentary breakfast down in the pub was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The dinner food in the pub was also good. We weren't sure what to expect from this stay but were glad we did it and would sty at this location again.

We has a great stay in a wonderful location with several options for bars and restaurants. We were a short walk from the cliffs and the pier as well. The option to crack the window for a glorious sea breeze made for a great night sleep. We had a wonderful time and the breakfast the next morning was just the perfect cherry on top!

I have a long association with the hotel since before our wedding reception there over fifty years ago. We were both born in East Cork and Garryvoe was a frequent haunt. It is always good to revisit and revive the memories of "Happy Days".
