This hotel has a lot going for it. It is 5 miles out of Galway so a good base for a car based trip (and avoids the horror of Galway rush hour). The rooms are quite big, nice big car park. Food half decent and although this is a little isolated a brisk ten minute walk to the local village reveals a reasonable choice of bars and restaurants. It's even got a pool (although I didn't use it).
In the heart of Oranmore village, with easy access to Galway city, the hotel offers 16 tastefully decorated en suite rooms, a beautiful bar and the award-winning Basilico Restaurant.
Claregalway Hotel is situated just outside of Galway in Claregalway village. It has a restaurant, a leisure centre with a gym and pool, and spacious air-conditioned rooms.

Breakfast, host and location were excellent. Pubs, restaurants and takeaways were within walking distance. There is a petrol station / mini market just a few hundred yards away too - very useful.
