We absolutely loved our stay at Palmgrove and really wished we had stayed there for more nights. The room was spacious and clean, the bed really comfy and the bathroom really good. The hosts were incredible and they even fixed our travel itinerary for us! Had we not visited the places they suggested, we would have missed out on many beautiful scenery.

Listowel is a lovely town with great outdoor recreational facilities and a strong history of celebrating literature and writers. It is a good base from high to explore northwest Kerry, from the Dingle Peninsula to Ballybunion and Foynes, where transatlantic flying boats used to land. For those unused to Irish roads and streets there are the challenges of driving on the left hand side and some tight turns and through ways, but that’s no different than driving anywhere in Ireland. I like the fact that it is not a town that gets inundated with tourists. The food at the Listowel Arms was excellent, as is the Horseshoe Bar. Woulfe’ s bookshop is worth a browse and the risk of leaving with several purchases. The greenway is a fabulous community resource.

Very well situated town to explore south and west Ireland.
Very well situated town to explore south and west Ireland. It has lots of facilities and pubs with live music. And a nice river to walk along it. It is surrounded by countryside. It's a clean place too. There's a very nice hotel, the only one in the area where you can eat and have a drink.
You can easily walk around the town. And the castle! Although quite destroyed, still good to visit and hear about its history.

Listowel is a great town plenty of Bars And Restaurants, locals are very friendly both in bars and restaurants and the shops we visited, listowel also has great history with john B kean being its most famous icon
Amazing location. A Supervalue grocery is litterally next door, and wonderful pubs and restaraunts are just a 5 minute walk to the center of town. The propety is all brand new with free parking in front. Couldn't have been nicer! The Bank Of Ireland is also in the center of town with an outdoor ATM with the best rate you will find for getting some cash.
Breakfast was terrific! Cooked to order every morning. Don't miss the warm scones. Behan's is a great location in the center of town. We had dinner their twice and everything was fresh, hot and served well. It was a great location to visit many of the sights in Southern Ireland. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again and certainly recommend them to all.
The house was amazing and had everything we needed, the only thing that did not make it feel like home was a tv in the bedroom. But that is the American in us. LOL!!!! The views were beautiful and it was nice and quiet. Had no problem sleeping. I would highly recommend Derry house do anyone I know going to Listowel.
Great location in the centre of Listowel, our room was in a separate building to the bar, just across the road. Rooms there were recently refurbished so lovely and big and great value for money. Breakfast was in the bar and delicious. Staff were so friendly and helpful, it was a pleasure to stay there.
Great location if visiting listowel Arms for an event, lovely warm room with everything in it. Stayed with husband and child had a very comfortable night's sleep and would return. No breakfast on a Sunday, but went to Maid of Erin only place open on Sunday and got a great breakfast.
Our family booked the room at the last minute and our host was very helpful and accomodating. We had breakfast in the downstairs restaurant the next morning which we all enjoyed. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We would stay there again if we are back in Listowel.

Perfect in-town location — central to everything in Listowel. I enjoyed the meals that I had at the Arms — and the views of the river and the race track are lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Very nice apartment in the centre of Listowel. Lovely friendly lady to deal with she made us feel really welcome and we will stay there again if passing through north Kerry.
Had a brilliant stay at The Apartment at Carriglea. Place was lovely and location was ideal. Only a brief stroll to centre of Listowel. Would highly recommend the place.
Such a cute bed and breakfast! The hosts were really nice and gave us a great recommendation for dinner. Breakfast was delicious and served in an adorable kitchen.
