Stayed in 1 bedroom family Lodge..very clean and quirky. Kids loved it. Lodge was spotless and with the bed in the open plan was something different from the norm. Staff were very helpful, went with 11 year old, 6 year old and 2 year old and they all had a ball with activities like wall climbing, ninja course (11 year old), outdoor play area at height (6 year old and 11 year old) , zip n trek junior, and the baile Beag (2 year old 6 year old. Perfect location for a family weekend 👌
The hotel is ideally located between the buzz of Galway city and the relaxed seaside resort of Salthill.

Good sized room, lovely breakfast, pool was great. Staff were friendly, professional and courteous. Love that they have a cubby for the neurodivergent kids too, that is a great facility. Nice Pint of Guinness too, to top it all off, something that is rare enough in a hotel bar.

Valentina pays attention to the details and made my stay welcoming and comfortable. All the room facilities worked. The house and street was quiet. Valentina also provided brochures about Galway. Very helpful for a first-timer.

Tigh Johnny Mor exceeded all our expectations. The holiday home is done to an excellent spec, was spotless and a great size. It also came with a comfy sofa and bed and has a great en-suite. The views from the accommodation were stunning and the grounds even had cows and a lovely donkey to welcome us. Aidan and Ciara were fantastic hosts and communicated with us throughout our stay, offering brilliant tips and recommendations for our trip to Galway. 10/10 would stay again!
Initially looking for a place near Galway. The website seemed to suggest that the accommodation was within a reasonable distance. It took us another 40 mins to get there after passing through Galway, so somewhat disappointed. Nothing at the accommodation within walking distance apart from stunning views and very warm, friendly hosts. The nearest places for dinner were Moycullen or Oughterad. We went to the latter, a 20+ minute drive through narrow country lanes… well aren’t they all? Lovely meal at the Powers Thatch. Friendly, welcoming people. All in all, missed out on Galway but had a very relaxing evening back at the accommodation watching the sun set. Beautiful.
Hosts are the nicest people and this is a beautiful location. They do offer a breakfast at an additional charge which was a nice surprise since we arrived late and did not want to think about finding breakfast in the morning. A nice place if you have a car and don't want to stay in Galway. A nice mid location to explore the area.
