Teach Beag Cois Tra, hotel in Pulleen

Offering barbecue facilities and mountain view, Teach Beag Cois Tra is situated in Miltown Malbay, 700 metres from Tromora Castle Bay Beach and 2.3 km from Tromora West Bay Beach.

The property is in a rural location, peaceful and quiet, which is exactly what I wanted. Local pubs, restaurants, shops and beaches are all reasonably nearby (10 minute drive at most). The apartment had a well-equipped kitchen/living room, and an upstairs bedroom with ensuite loo and shower. The TV had a Freesat box attached, which gave access to all the main UK channels as well as others. I was also able to connect and use my Fire TV stick, as the free wifi was excellent. The hosts, David and Sinéad, were very welcoming and extremely helpful. This was my first stay at this property, but it won't be my last.

Móinéir House, hotel in Pulleen

Set in Kilkee and only 1.4 km from Kilkee Beach, Móinéir House offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Breakfast was delicious and there were enough choices to have something different each morning. The Bailey's Porridge was something new to me and was so yummy! The only confusing thing was that the pancakes my husband ordered were actually crepes - maybe that's what they call them in Ireland - they were delicious, regardless! This was the most comfortable bed on our whole trip. The room was a good size and the bathroom was beautiful. The robes were a nice extra. We liked that we could open multiple windows to cool the room off at night. Town was an easy 10 minute walk mostly on sidewalks (just a small portion on the road). Very quiet at night, unlike friends' experience who stayed in town. Our host, Ann Marie was very helpful and provided an iron and ironing board when we needed one.
