It was an absolutely perfect place to start our honeymoon in Ireland. The personnel (beautiful, friendly people), our room (spotless, comfortable - everything we needed) the food (phenomenal - first class! We ate here 2 evenings in a row!), the drinks (dangerously tasty and perfectly made), the garden (just heavenly!!), the location (excellent for exploring Baltimore), the dog (they the most gorgeous poodle!!!). There is no doubt it, we will be back again to Baltimore to stay at Rolfs wonderfully charming guest house in the future!

This country house is a 10-minute drive from the coast and less than 20 km from Capel Island and Knockadoon. Castlemartyr Resort Golf Course is 19 minutes' drive away. We loved everything: our room was perfect, quiet with a comfortable bed and great bedding. The staff were amazing—- always going out if tbeir way to be helpful and enhance your stay. The restaurant needs no description—-wonderful food cooked with great love and care.

Our 26 guest rooms all include en-suite and are located in the Manor, its adjacent Mews and the Lake House which is a short drive from our Manor House. Guest can relax with a flat-screen TV and free tea and coffee. We had difficulty with the access gate but staff quickly assisted, property is beautiful and peaceful. We loved the remoteness of the Lake House! The walk to dinner was beautiful! Dinner was fantastic with a terrific amount of variety and unique dishes. The sauna was tranquil with a natural peaceful view. The cold plunge lake was an added bonus! Take advantage of all the surprises along the trails, even the odd chair…all a source of comfort and relaxation. The Sky Garden is a must see.

Guests at the country house will be able to enjoy activities in and around Glengarriff, like cycling. I stayed one night in this house surrounded by mountains. Garaidh is a wonderful and kind person, and the house seems to be alive with the cats, kittens and sheeps in the morning. I would recommand this stay at everyone.
