The location was wonderful. The host was so good! She had left us sandwich fixings which came in very handy after traveling all night with 2 small children from the States. Great place to stay, very comfortable. The hosts (and their dog) were very friendly and welcoming. Elizabeth was a delight and so helpful telling us all good places to visit in town plus directions. We were treated to a full Irish breakfast in the morning with homemade bread which was delicious!

Mount Juliet Estate is set in 500 acres of Irish Countryside. The historic estate is located in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny and dates back to 1757. This is a 12 out of 10 stay! Absolutely fantastic estate. not only did we feel taken care of, there is so much to see and do at Mount Juliet. It wouldn’t be right to end the review without mentioning David. He is an exceptional part of the staff that made us feel like royalty. All the small gestures added up to great memories. Thank you David for teaching us about the Estate and making sure we enjoyed every inch of our stay! oh, and you must try a Lemondrop if you stop by the bar. We’ll definitely be back!

Set amidst 170 acres of parkland, Lyrath Estate Kilkenny is located on the outskirts of Kilkenny City. Location in an amazing park , the atmosphere is green and peaceful. Decoration in the lobby is amazing. Rooms are modern with a beautiful view on the park. The staff is perfect , efficient , friendly and helpful
