On my review it shows a sad face which should most definitely not be the case because we were completely satisfied with everything during our stay at Dorrians Hotel. (Filling review without glasses isn't a good idea !!). Its also anonymous. Silly me !!. . Its Annie + Jim from Ballymena + we just want to say we couldn't be more happy . . Owners + staff are lovely + really friendly + when you are in reception + a couple arrive in who were married 40 years ago + stayed in the Hotel call in to say "Hello" it shows how special they felt 40 years ago !!. . Really lovely to wish them Happy Anniversary. . I know if it wasn't for Covid restrictions they would've been offered dinner or a drink. . We can highly recommend Dorrians Hotel to anyone looking to book. . You will not be disappointed. . Annie + Jim from Ballymena. . Stayed from 12th August- 15th August 2021 x

Lovely varied historic old town, said to be the oldest town in Ireland. Interesting to explore both sides of the river. The history of the town can been seen in the buildings e.g. large CofI church on the hill, the now closed up lovely Presbyterian church, the convent complex being restored, the evidence of the old port, the former merchant's houses on the riverside, the derelict workhouse etc.

Unfortunately with Covid, town life was limited for the evening. However, Ballyshannon even during Covid is warm and inviting. The restaurant Nirvana had wonderful dishes. We used Ballyshannon as home base to explore around us. So many places to see, so Ballyshannon is a great central point to many areas to pop into. Of course Patricia and Harold are what ultimately made the difference. We will be back as cant wait to share with friends. Thank you both for making our little trip even during Covid, so memorable.

Well I am used to visiting Ballyshannon and I have relations there. But it is always a pleasurable and relaxing experience each occasion I visit. This time it was for the folk festival, and Eric Bell (former 'Thin Lizzy' guitarist, most certainly did not dissapoint when we saw him in Owen Roe's Bar. Unfortunately we only stayed one night!

A town steeped in history and tradition.

A town steeped in history and tradition. If you’re looking for a coffee or a pint, you have plenty of choice. The Mall Quay is worth a visit. The Chimes of St Anne’s church really set the town alive. Make this a stop and you won’t Be left disappointed.

The studio was so cosy and comfortable. It had everything we needed and Elspeth and Drew were perfect hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable. We were treated to lovely fresh milk and eggs during our stay from the farm. We did a trek on the private beach with the beautiful llamas and took a walk into Ballyshannon. If you want a nice relaxed break away this is the ideal place to come. We will definitely come back again in the future and would highly recommend this wonderful little gem.

The property and room was spotless, the room was cosy and warm, the bathroom facilities were great and the shower was excellent, far better than any shower I’ve had in a hotel or b&b. Karen was a lovely host and her breakfast and service was fantastic. I would high recommend this accommodation and it is a great location with value for money if looking to visit Bundoran, as it’s only a 5 min drive away of 6km. very good value for money.

Best part was location, short drive to Rossknowlagh beach, short walk to the centre of Ballyshannon town and music festival. The house is very spacious with lots of comfy couches and the host was extremely kind and helpful with great communication and knowledge of the local area. Great shower pressure to get the sea salt and sand out of hair.

The hotel has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. The owners are very friendly and spend time socializing with the guests. The decor is of an older fashion, very expensive and luxurious. The room was extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again if we're ever in Ballyshannon again.
