Paul Tully and his staff are excellent hosts. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms have upgraded with fine linens, modern bathroom, furnishings. This will be our first choice whenever we visit Castlerea

Gleesons is right in the centre of Roscommon, set back from the main square. It is already comfortable and they are upgrading rooms further. I had one that has recently been done with a fantastic bathroom

As OAP's we would have liked a grab rail as support in the shower cubicle and also a shelf or similar for toiletries. Afraid of slipping on wet surfaces is an issue for OAP's. We liked the room we had but was disapointed we could not get a drink when we returned to the hotel at 12 30. even though there were people in the bar. Enjoyable breakfast and very friendly staff.DavidIreland

But if you like historic charm, visit Tully’s. Paul the owner and his staff were friendly, helpful and would take time to chat, help with questions about trying to find family history. Staff are all superb - friendly, welcoming, professional. Food was amazing - we had breakfast and dinner every day because it was so good. Room was very comfortable with everything you need for a short stay. Bar was great fun - lots of local people there who always said hello. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return.
