The castle and grounds are pristinely kept. The staff are warm and welcoming. The breakfast was exceptional and the dungeon bar had amazing dinner options. We especially enjoyed chatting in the library bar and sitting by the fire in the lounge. We met wonderful guests and told/heard so many stories. We can’t wait to go back!

It was one of the best stays I've had, in and out of Ireland. On top of the amazingly beautiful mansion, with its perfect decoration to make us feel at home, the wonderful food, and the luxurious rooms, Hannah is a great host. I've felt welcome from entering the building. Even when we were a few hours early for check-in, we got some tea to enjoy in the library room.
It all was just lovely and so greatly enjoyable. I'll try to return in the future!

This was a great place to stay. It is located just beside the Birr Castle Estate on a nice quiet street. The hosts were warm and welcoming. They gave us tips on where to eat and places to see. The accomodation was comfortable with outdoor seating in the garden. I would highly reccomend it for a lovely place to stay in Birr.

Beds were super comfy. absolutely delicious breakfast. All staff were extremly friendly.
This castle was a true dream. The rooms and staff were fabulous. We had so much fun with Shawna and Lucy, their service was perfect and their interaction with us made our stay fun. The food and drinks were great and served with perfection. The castle was clean and made you feel like royalty. I am not sure if it had an elevator but we did not mind the stairs, you are after all in a true century old castle. We would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in a castle.

The castle itself is magnificent.
The castle itself is magnificent. Great Staff … all so friendly and helpful. Wedding Ceremony room was beautifully decorated. Excellent breakfast served with a smile 😊 Had a delicious meal in the library… definitely the most generous pizza I have come across. I could only get through half of it.
There is no lift so it was difficult bringing luggage up three flights of stairs.

It was fun staying in an authentic castle, it was preserved nicely. I wish we had taken time to walk the grounds and experience gardens and trails. We only stayed one night, and the accomodations were nice - but it was definately an "old" facility. The restaurant in the "dungeon" had a lot of character, the food was good but the service was awful.

The hiking trails around the castle were amazing, easy to complete (no steep hills, paths are large and comfortable). The animals live and animate the scenery. The room was great value for money.
The availability of food (good) at the bar was important since we arrived by taxi and didn't want to walk to the village to eat, although it's close by.
The water available to purchase could come in bigger sizes.

we stayed in Kinnity Castle and would highly recommend it for couples looking to get away for some alone time. food and service was excellent and the building was amazing. the rooms were spotless and very comfortable. theres also some nice walks nearby too!
Fabulous accomodation. Beautiful setting with wonderful walks, cycle paths and fairy paths. A hikers dream. The castle is beautiful, warm and comfortable. Friendly and efficient staff. Wonderful food and a delicious breakfast. Thank you Des for your warm welcome and brilliant service. Sorry about the 5 in a row!!. Kinnitty Castle is a true hidden gem and we cannot wait for our next visit soon.
Unique experience, something different and alternative! Ideal for a group getaway (especially hen/stag parties) or just a small group get together! Quite and remote, with Kinnitty castle trail loops up the road! We loved every minute of our stay! The pub itself is ideal, on the doorstep of the townhouse/lodges! pizza and pints, just simple & delicious!
Kinnitty Castle is very beautiful. From drive into the property all the way into reception. Staff were very helpful from reception to wait staff. Grounds well kept. Great location as close to many other things to see. Breakfast was very good with many choices.
The castle, grounds and room exceeded ozr expectations. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions. The dinning rooms ( we ate in Monk's Room) was beautiful and the food and servivce was excellent. WITHOUT A DOUBT WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!
We have stayed here before and loved it, and definitely will stay again, the castle is beautiful and takes you back in time, a really lovely property, would definitely recommend Kinnitty castle to anyone who hasn’t experienced it yet.
The ambiance, the Grounds, the welcoming reception, the Staff (all of them) Chloe & Conner are stand out employees and this Hotel is very lucky to have them. The food was wonderful too. A beautiful experience. We'd be happy to return.
Wonderful old "castle" (really a grand country estate) in the Slieve Bloom Mountains, including an atmospheric "Dungeon" bar. Great walking trails accessible right from the hotel grounds. Nice "to order" hot breakfast included.
When you read the reviews and study website you come with high expectations which this place does not meet at all. Not at all nice place. We we left an found another hotel in 50 km distance.
Breakfast not great needs more variety Hall way in to Hotel is lovely. Receptionist was great very bubbly and very efficient. Rooms very nice I love the bath in the middle of the floor.
The castle is beautiful and super fun to stay at! They have kept it mostly original (it seems) which adds a certain charm. Beautiful grounds in the countryside.
