The food was excellent and the staff are outstanding.

The food was excellent and the staff are outstanding. Bus stop outside hotel Is a great asset as bus travel is very cheap and easy around dublin.. Had to ask for tea/ coffee to be replenished after the first night and bed making skills of the maid left a bit to be desired as they didn't straighten the bottom sheet of the bed. Guinness storehouse is superb and Punchestown horse racing was very good too. Buskers bar in the temple bar area had great live acts on a day everyday ax well as showing all sports downstairs. We had premier league footy , rugby and fq all on at the same time. Temple bar area of town is buzzing all of the time

I had stayed in this hotel in the past.

I had stayed in this hotel in the past. Location is good if you want to get on the N6 but it is in need of updating. To be fair, work has commenced but needs to continue. Staff were fabulous and helpful but some areas need up grade. Breakfast ok but could be more varied. Rooms very clean but part of hotel very dated. I look forward to returning when work completed.

Lucan is a beautiful place for a holiday... Lovely village by the river with friendly people, cute cafés, restaurants, artisan bakery, fruit and veg shop, Centra shop, amazing park (St. Catherine's) and walks, very central. All Dublin tourist attractions within half an hour's drive. Plenty to do whatever the weather and whatever you are interested in.

We primarily went to see family who live there, so didn't do a lot of sightseeing. Lucan Village very nice, with the river. For children, a nice adventure playground at Griffeen Park. Easy access to Dublin - we went to the Aqua Centre and the Zoo. Didn't eat in Lucan itself (went to family) but plenty at Liffey Valley.

The location in Lucan, the big garden, the dog & trampoline, the nature around. The property has potential and I think they are working to improve the place. Kind owner who tries to help as much as he can. The room we got was the one at the back of the property, separate from the house. Great as it was spacious, we had privacy, we were independent, could park next to it. The beds were really comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. We had access to a washing machine outside which we could use.

We booked very last minute as a place to stay before our flight the next morning without venturing into Dublin. When we arrived they told us their kitchen was closing in the next 10 minutes so they took our orders right away at check in so we could get some dinner. The hamburger and the fish and chips were excellent! And they served us right in front of the fireplace. Staff was lovely and very hospitable. The property was gorgeous and we wish we had more time to enjoy it all.

I loved that it was so quiet and I loved Lucan Village I’d never been but it was a great choice .It was close enough to Dublin and I got my bearings after my flight there . The Hosts are very gracious and thoughtful so I enjoyed meeting Alan and Wellington very much . The bed was so comfortable and very high quality clean sheets . I would certainly recommend to anyone .

This was great value for money. The room was clean. Tea and coffee making facilities. Iron and ironing board. Very quiet considering its location. 5 min drive to Liffey valley shopping centre and about 15 mins to Blanchardstown shopping centre. Staff were exceptional and very helpful. Bus stop outside the property to take you to the city centre or into Lucan village.

We loved our stay at Finnstown Castle Hotel! The room was lovely and the bed was insanely comfy. We got the bus from Dublin to the hotel and it was so easy, there was a bus stop right outside the hotel. Really recommend if you’re looking for a nice place to stay near Dublin. Breakfast was good too and staff were very attentive.

Friendly staff, clean facilities, excellent breakfast, close to buses, and local village nearby. The older style hotel had lovely historic details. Parking was great and reception staff all fantastic. They gave us a continental breakfast at 4.30 am in the lobby before we left for an early flight.

The staff and food were very nice but the bed was disgraceful. It dipped down in the middle and myself and my husbands back was in terrible pain for days afterwards I emailed the hotel to complain and I never received a response. Would not recommend to anybody.

It is an old estate being refurbished. Very clean, very well updated, access to cooking facilities, beautiful setting. Easy walking distance to Lucan ( I did not rent a car). I loved my two week stay. Each room had a small microwave, small fridge and teapot.
