Very tranquil and quite, we woke up to the sound of cows lowing. Only a stone's throw from the N5, while off the beaten track the Old Mill is just an hour away from Westport and even closer to Sligo and Athlone. Gerry and Isabel were amazing hosts and went far beyond what one would expect from a host. We experienced some difficult circumstances during our time there and they were extremely generous in their support. A 5 star rating just doesn't do them justice. On arrival they had soda bread, eggs and milk to get us going. Internet was great and the place heated up in no time. The Old Mill is a place I would love to return to. The area is steeped in history and there is something very special about this lovely spot.
