Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Cheapest accommodation we found by at least £100 for 3 nights, rooms were clean, good showers that were hot and powerful, heating in there room, there was a working TV but we didn’t need it, room was safe and lockable too. Easy to access the property and also was in town and minutes walk from everything you’d need, the beds were really comfy too, check in/out was simple and easy and we felt very welcomed.

I liked how easy it was to socialize, with very cosy spaces like the living room or the garden tent. The kitchen was very well equipped and free eggs and pasta were an amazing touch. It also felt safe to leave the bags in before check in. Overall the beds were very comfortable and the amount of bathrooms too. The trips to the Gap of Dunloe the hostel organised are worth checking out, and the distance to Killarney Riding Stables is walkable.

Great location , short walk to centre of town. Safe parking. Great breakfast. Room was spotlessly clean & bed comfy. Sandra is a superb host, she even offered to hang our slightly damp washing on the line for us :) Above and beyond helpful in my opinion.

We were attending a wedding and weren’t prepared to pay the price for a single night in any of the other hotels in Killarney as you would get a weekend in Spain for the same price but then I spotted the Failte. Literally €100 cheaper than any of the other hotels for the night. Great location, staff were lovely on arrival, room was fantastic really modern and clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was to die for!

The staffs were very nice. They explained things well and were kind. Liked them! The people at this hostel seemed more welcoming (we've got backpackers, people from France/London, and people who genuinely want to explore the rest of Ireland).. although that might just be just in my head! Good location and it was quiet (not like a bunch of cars zipping by, which is great!). Slept well.
