Achill
A historic Victorian house with a self-catering kitchen, a guest sitting room and a courtyard, The Valley House Hostel & Bar also offers free WiFi and free on-site parking. Located in Achill Island, 10 km from Achill Sound and 8 km from Keel. Such a lovely place. The atmosphere is so cool. You get a room in an old house at the countryside very close to the sea, and good dinner, and most important: outstanding traditional Irish music, at least at Thursdays (anf Mondays I think). So refreshing! Absolutely worth it.
Nice warm comfortable room great location near the coast great owner
It was lovely walking in to the fire lighting , it was very cosy , Carmel was an excellent host , great location , nice touches left in the apartment such as water , milk , butter and wine in the fridge
On Arrival Jeff was so Friendly He made us feel completely at home If I'm visiting Achill again I definitely would stay at Sona Baile Great location Lovely Scenic Views from the room Would Highly Recommend Sona Baile
Great location. Bed and sheets were so comfortable. Snacks were yummy. Hosts Deidre and Tommy were great. Easy parking. Good sized bathroom (shower room). Would highly recommend.
Great location, walking distance to the village. Flexible check in, and fantastic communication with the host. The ad states that they don't provide breakfast, but that proved to be incorrect - continental breakfast is available and also there was no problem to use breakfast space to have a takeaway dinner! Very clean room and bathroom, shower with great water pressure. Excellent place to stay!
Great location, friendly hosts and nice facilities. Great value for money and good breakfast options.
Great location
I like the spacious living areas and the cleanliness of the house. The house was accessible for older persons downstairs and in the bathroom. I liked the security and privacy, it felt nice. The kitchen had everything you would need for self catering. And it had a washer/dryer combo also a clothes line outside. I liked the feeling of it being a home away from home. The area was a great location and lovely walkway into town. Thoroughly enjoyed staying here, it was so relaxing and the whole family had a great time.
Roisin and Michael were very friendly hosts. When we arrived Roisin offered us a much appreciated pot of tea and biscuits. We stayed in a spacious upstairs room with a sea view. The cooked breakfast was really good, especially Roisin's homemade bread. The unexpected treat was to look out at Dooagh Bay and see a pod of dolphins swim up and down while we ate breakfast. Our hosts gave us good information on local dining options and on various walking trails. It's a great location from where to visit the many sights on Achill Island.
