From Kizzie Holdiay Cottage you can explore country lanes or venture future up Ireland’s highest mountain, Carrauntoohil. Lisleibane car park is a 23-minute drive from Kizzie Holiday Cottage, an alternative trailhead for climbing Carrauntoohil. The trail is very peaceful and beautiful, the round trip takes around 6 hours and involves steep climbs. Carrauntoohil is an excellent hike providing gorgeous views and great opportunity to experience the beautiful peaks of Ireland. Cronin’s Yard and Tearooms is the traditional starting point for climbs of Ireland’s highest mountain, Carrauntoohil. This starting point is a 26-minute drive away and a pretty setting situated at the entrance to the Hag’s Glen at Mealis. Cronin’s Yard Loop walk is an 8km moderate walk climbing to a height of 300m.
