Reading signs posted on the Self guided tour gave a great history of Kilkenny, the family, royal connections, and history of the local area. Beautiful architecture, period decor, furniture, paintings, sculpture etc. The gardens and childrens' playground was definitely worth the time to enjoy!

For breakfast,a picnic basket full of pastries, cereal, yogurts, and juice were dropped off which was a nice touch. Easy check in and very friendly host. Was also allowed to keep car parked there after checkout in order to explore Kilkenny which was very helpful.
