Carlingford
Located at the foot of the Cooley Mountains, Riverside Lodge offers free on-site parking and is just 10 minutes’ drive from the medieval town of Carlingford.
Free Wi-Fi is featured in each room at Riverside Lodge, along with a four-poster king-size bed, en suite bathroom and flat-screen TV. All rooms have their own private entrance and tea/coffee making facilities are also provided.
This was our fourth vacation in Ireland. And we visited Scotland a few times, too. Everywhere we found very nice B&Bs, but this lodge stunned us. The place is beautifully conceived and maintained, with lots of outdoor space and facilities. Our room had wonderful furniture and bed linen, definitely the most "palace-like" we ever experienced. The attention to details and the way we were taken care of were top notch. Complimentary snacks and chips, along with very good coffee, were provided. Conditioner and hand cream added to the most usual toiletries. Even sanitary pads, make-up removal disks and cotton swabs were provided. Plus, together with a really effective hairdryer, a hair straightener was inside the wardrobe. First time ever.
Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
Given the current accommodation prices, what we paid for this excellent B&B was a surprisingly small amount. Highly recommended.

Very central, great facilities and clean. Lots of towels, comfy beds and a small kitchen well equipped. A really lovely girl called Sinead greeted us and saw to our needs. Free parking was a huge bonus nearby.

Amazing views from our room!!! Owner Paul very friendly and helpful. This is a motel-type property so no breakfast was available, however, a kettle, plus tea coffee etc. was provided in our room. There was also a table top ironing board and an iron which was a bonus, not usually available.

Affordable, friendly manager, conveniently located on the road leading up to the railway station. Clean and tidy enough. Room was light and spacious.

Stayed here for a concert in Slane and the hotel was not even 2 minutes walk from the bus stop. Shopping centre super close too. The room was very comfortable, not too warm or cold and the sound proofing was excellent, we couldn't hear anything outside when the windows were closed. Free parking when you're staying at the hotel, though we did get confused and parked in the wrong car park as we couldn't see the 'staff only' sign from the direction we were travelling. But it wasn't an issue, we moved as soon as possible.

Everything was handy within walking distance host couldn't have been more helpful and locals were lovely, The room was warm and had everything we needed almost like a motel brilliant scenery, amazing food nearby and the pub crawl was brilliant all 4 pubs outta 5 beside each other

The staff were great, the receptionist was lovely and polite. Welcomed with a smile and left with one too, thanks for having us. Hope to see yous again! Free parking on site, close to all the buzz of the town centre but super easy to get about. Room was lovely, great to have netflix and youtube. Which isn't common in most hotels I stay.
